Any "war" stories of meetups gone wrong? (ie: Theft? Damage? Inappropriate friction?)

Not sure about the switches because I don’t think that was a meetup that I attended. Was definitely not the case for the artisans though. They were on a board.

That is why chopsticks should be mandatory for meetups from now on. The ultimate Cheeto utensil as well.

got into a nine-man brawl at keycon. all but me perished.

It was a tactical advantage to be clean shaven, for sure.

I brought a toddler to a meet up. At one point she literally had Cheeto dust on her fingers.

It helps that how the UK meetups are run is that you buy tickets, and so everyone who is there can be identified. But generally it is such a niche community, that people who actually go out of their way to attend something to specific genuinely want to be there for good reasons.

I agree, to my knowledge, the last few meetups we have been to have been totally free of issues like theft. I think that incident was kind of a wake up call for some and people been really cool about keeping their eyes on each others boards since then.

Not been to a meet (yet) though I can’t imagine that, with the way UK meets are ran, there is any individual who can’t be vouched for.

Meet-up incidents… until now, the possibility never crossed my mind.
