[In-stock] SA Dasher Nights

This is the way they package for the past year or so. I love it because I use my own storage system and this is very minimal waste. I can recycle the cardboard and throw away the thin plastic film.

Oh wow, thanks for posting - this is my very first glimpse of the actual caps, versus my own renders! They just asked me for my address today, so I suspect it’ll be about a week before mine arrive here in Boston.

As for the packaging, yeah… Will is working on revamping it, but it wasn’t finished in time for this set, and probably not Grand Budapest R2 either. The blister packs are better than the old baggies, at least for quickly determining if there’s any missing keys. But something that could also serve as permanent storage or for display would be great.

To be clear, the caps all came neatly packaged. I just tore into that one to get some out for photos

I even got a little cloth baggie included with the sp logo on it. I put one of my plastic 60% boards in it.

Oh yeah, I’ve never had an actual problem with the blister packs tearing or anything. Much sturdier than GMK’s trays, at least in terms of keeping everything from falling loose in transit.

Unfortunately, my budget would not allow me to get in on this set. I’m so jealous though, the colors are great! I look forward to your next set, SMRT, that I AM budgeting for.

EDIT: I had commented that I wasn’t sure if DCS SMRT was going to run, but I’ve spoken with SP since, and we;re definitely moving forward with it. Follow along in the design channel on their Discord to see how that’s progressing.

My own set finally arrived today! Here it is paired with an OG Dasher spacebar (slightly warped), on a blue Sonnet.

Ouuu I didn’t notice it when you first shared your set (mainly because I didn’t look close enough lol) but love that you used the Rub Out and New Line instead of backspace and enter.

Thanks! Both are from different vintage Dasher terminals; I tried to use any original legends I could that had existing molds. I did go with Shift Lock instead of the more accurate Alpha Lock, because I didn’t know if Alpha Lock existed.

Ah i was about to get photos of my Sonnet but it seems you had the same idea  What switches / plate did you use ?

New Nixies and brass plate. I wasn’t planning to use Nights on there, and might still move it off, I just had this blue build sitting around and thought it might make for a decent pairing.

How’s the sound ? I have the exact similar plans (brass plate, still considering a few switches like HMX FJ400 or Keygeek Briny on there). SA + Brass plate should bring out the thock

Sadly, I’m probably the worst person to ask since I have terrible hearing, and so the sound never really registers with me. All keyboards pretty much sound the same to me (barely audible).
