Would it be possible to create a kit where by changing the thickness of the plate, make it so different keys have different pitch thocks?
Custom keyboards have sold in the past with options for different plate thicknesses/heights, but the reasoning is usually more akin to typing feel than pitch/sound although that also plays a role.
So you could probably make acoustic changes by changing the plate thickness. Most people stick between 1.5mm and 4.5mm with 1.2mm and 5mm (with notch cutouts) being the most extreme
