Hey all,
Perhaps teasing the last review introduction by saying I survived was a bit too ironic even for me. Nearly grievous wounds be damned, I’m here to bring a review of the newest entry into the Greek Mythology Family of switches - the Moyu Studio backed Keygeek Athenas. Never heard of them? Not sure of what the Greek Mythology Family is? Then this is the review for you!

As always, thank you all for the continued love and support. If you didn’t catch it after last week’s review, consider checking out the ‘Shorts’ tab on the website for a slightly different keyboard but not switch related article. It seemed to be a really big hit a few weeks ago…
Cheers,

Great review as always Goat! I hope you heal up quick from your accident too, glad to hear things are as positive as they can be with that right now! Also glad to see you’ve scored these switches highly! I have yet to try these specific switches but have been raving about Keygeek’s recent offerings. The Y2s specifically (would love to see them reviewed some time!) as they really are on another level especially given their $0.35 per switch pricing! The only caveat I know of with Keygeek switches right now is some people have reported getting some inconsistently lubed batches. I have gotten lucky there myself as the batches of Y3s, Y2s, & Little Ghosts I got have very good factory lube, but I bought all those when they were first released.
I highly suspect most switch manus do much tighter QC on switches when they are first releasing to pump up the hype for them then are not as stringent on QC once a switch has caught on. Not to mention I have always believed the best examples of any switch are ones made in the first few runs before the molds start to degrade from useage. I don’t think there is a huge difference between switches from fresh molds & decently used ones, but I do think there is a tangible difference nonetheless. Anyways keep the awesome work my friend!

I’m really enjoying the Keygeek Little Ghosts and have their Cheesecakes queued up. Looking forward to reading this and glad to see you covering them. I agree with @Rob27shred they’re an incredible value.

Keygeek switches have been really good lately. The Briny is occupying the top spot currently for me, with perfect weight, feel, and sound. I got a batch of Y2 with the “waffle stem” incoming that I look forward to.
