Straight talk:- it’s worth thinking about whether you have intrinsic or extrinsic motivation behind looking for the next/best board.
Given the list of “Pros” here, they are mostly extrinsic motivations. The problem here is that the metric for satisfaction is completely outside your locus of control. As soon as popular trends change, the supposed appraisal value of your board depreciates, or people decide your board no longer looks “cool”, then your “Pros” will no longer remain.
At the same time, it seems like there is a good amount of loss aversion or FOMO at play. The temptation is real, but it’s prudent not to fall prey to such impulses. It’ll just create unpleasant emotions like buyer’s remorse down the road
