What did you get in the mail today? (Part 2)

Got Outemu Silent Peach v3 in the mail today, and I’m very pleased, they punch way above their price.

Tl:dr:
1.Similar to Bobagums but not as good, still very nice and smooth.
2. Factory lubed.
3. On the softer side of silent switches.
4. Long springs.
5. Very quiet.
6. Bright RGB, pink tint.
7. Very cheap $13 for pack of 70, fantastic value.

My review:

This is my first pack of silent switches (took a break from the harsh sound of regular switches) so I can’t make good comparisons but IIRC from a pack of sample switches I’ve had in the past they’re similar to Gazzew Bobagum, obviously, both Outemu and feature the same silencing method.

Compared to Bobagums they’re not as smooth and their off-center press isn’t as frictionless, though it’s negligible and they’re factory lubed, the switch is pretty nice and smooth to type on, just not Gazzew evel.

They’re soft, noticeably softer than my TTC Bluish White sample, almost feels like I’m typing on a standard rubber done keyboard but it’s linear, I don’t mind that it’s soft, I prefer silence over firmness, they also feature long springs.

Which leads me to sound, they’re very quite, suitable for office setting, significantly more silent than standard rubber-dome keyboards and maybe even silenced ones, their sound doesn’t get picked up on calls and it could barely be heard across a small room, there’s no typical “swish” sound of silent/scratchy switches just the small sound of the pads bottoming out.

The seller was nice enough to send me 2 samples, one is similar to U4 (HP colors) and one is a silent Brown type (Green one), both seem nice, doesn’t stand out in any special way.

Also RGB is bright, a bit of a pink tint though.

Overall if you’re on a budget, $13 for a pack of 70, those switches are a steal, they feel well made and punch above their weight.
