Gamer first (so sorry, wolf in sheep’s clothing, or sheep in wolfs clothing - depending on your perspective I suppose). In college I was a big fan of Andrew Cusack’s web posts regarding all things art/historical/and design. Especially war monuments and various nation’s approach to designing currency (and all the considerations that go with that). So I think that’s where mechanical mods fits in for me, and not surprisingly I lean towards more classic designs (Keychron - oh baby!).
I blame Brian over at BadSeed Tech for all the money I’ve already spent and all that is yet to come. I love is deadpan approach to build quality and design. Also a massive fan of TaehaTypes and Hippo is a goof but I’ve gotten a lot of good info there too.
My first purchase was two EVGA Z15s after typing on Microsoft 4000s for 20 years. The Z15s were on sale for $48 and are hot-swap so that’s my starting point. The Kailh speed silvers are way way too light for me (right now at least) so here we go… adventures await.
