75% keeb Gerber for JLCPCB

Hello friends, Newb here. I am willing to build a 75% wired hotswappable keyboard! Can anyone help me with it. All I know is, I have to upload it on JLCPCB and they will make the PCB and deliver to me.
I want to add these features:

  1. Hot-swappable
  2. 75% Layout (like Aula F75)
  3. Optional Volume knob
  4. Wired
  5. South Facing LED Full RGB Support
  6. QMYK Firmware or anything you suggest
  7. 1000hz polling
  8. I will solder Kalih hot-swappable switch sockets myself

If anyone pro wants to guide me, you are welcome to have a conversation with me.

The complicated part is not to send the PCB for fabrication but designing the PCB itself.

For that you need to be able to use EDA tool like Kicad , this needs some learning curve but it is not out of reach if you are willing to learn.

You have a case in mind for this PCB?

Hi Rico,
Thanks for the reply.
I want build a few. At first I want to see how the process works. For the purpose, I want to have a open source gerber file that I can upload in JLCPCB or similar manufacturers.
Once I manage to make one, then I will start learning the PCB design.
For now, I want to test it on the case for “Evofox Ronin” or “Aula F75”.

Just have a look at my open sourced project to start:

This is a 75% case and the Github repository contains both case .step files and Kicad files for the PCB.

Also for the PCB there should be everything needed to send it to fabrication to JLCPCB wihout even looking at the Kicad files.

This is not hotswap, there are no per led RGB and the MCU is an old Atmega 32u4 but this should get you started !

Hey there. I totally agree with Rico on the learning curve required to create your own PCB, and I would add that it’s a super rewarding process. Getting your first PCB produced and finding out it’s functionnal is really trhilling.

To go the next step, I would suggest theses ressources. They realleay helped me out at the beggining of my journey:

There is a youtube serie with Gondo and Mr. Keeb that have been a fundamental for me, just search “PCB from scratch with Gondo”

I also suggest you look at ai03 wiki.

Hope this helps!

Thank you for sharing the repo. I will definitely check this out. Really appreciate it!
