Hi! Burning switch parts may seem like pointless destruction on the surface, but it can be an aspect of keyboard science! The “burn test” is a standard way of identifying plastics. Here is a nice flow chart on the subject:

As you can see from the video, this stem burns the way you would expect POM to burn, while the switch top behaves like nylon.

I’m mainly just getting some first-hand experience with how different types of plastics burn, since it’s a useful test to identify them. And also shitposting.
