Could long term PTFE lube exposure be a health risk?

Very important point, +1 for pointing it out!

Any idea if commonly used stabs have silicon molding? Durock, TX AP, Stabies, Knight?

SwagKeys Knight and Wuque Studios stabs both have silicone in them. The others don’t (to my knowledge).

Good call. Was thinking of this thread and another one (or more) on alternative lubes.

Well I’m cooked then, had so much nasty stuff on me in my years working in the building trades. Just today I was caulking & that crap gets all over you plus the small bucket of water with a rag I use to try to keep it clean as possible. The water basically turns into a chemical stew once you’ve got some caulk in it…

You’re probably okay if you washed your hands, didn’t eat it, and potentially wore a P95 respirator in the case of high VOCs. I imagine you did all those things over time - well, maybe just a small lick.

I do frequently wash my hands when I’m working with anything like paint or caulk & wear the proper PPE. Although I still end up getting the stuff all over me. It’s basically impossible not to when you’re working at speed. Also I spent many years on the non union side of the business & god knows what I had on me/breathed in when I was young & dumb LOL! Oh well it is what it is, I couldn’t have made more money any legal way so you do what you gotta do I guess. :man_shrugging:

Saw that too. I think the answer is, if we have balls, yes!
