You got any more sexy behind-the-scenes shots? This is my first GB and I don’t know how yall live with this constant anticipation.
I can’t say it’s very sexy, but I’m happy to report that the breakout PCBs are done and all kitted up with the hardware.
I also got confirmation today from the packaging factory in LA that the gift boxes are finished and en route to me.
Machining is also complete, and the parts will soon be on their way to for anodizing and powder coat. In short: things are moving along really nicely!

My original concept was just to tell the few extras I ordered, but since Taeha teased his on his stream I’ve gotten a ton of inquiries and realized that it wouldn’t be fair to people in different time zones to just announce it randomly. So my plan is to sell what I have on hand as FCFS and then I’ll get another small batch made for anyone who orders on Christmas Day (today) PST, shipping around end of January.
They’re kind of expensive due to the small quantities, btw. The machine time is similar to aluminum, but it’s the CAM and setup that costs a lot on tiny custom runs like these. With the GB, I was able to amortize that over a large number of units, but not here.

I kept telling myself I would be happy with my novatouch, but that’s too good to pass up. I gotta get a realforce now I guess.
At some point I’ll have to try Topre, and I’ll probably end up regretting missing this PC Norbaforce. Looks beautiful though!

Trying to be more fiscally responsible in the New Year, so I passed it up. Although, if I wouldn’t have already purchased a VHS finish case, it would have been an immediate purchase.
I didn’t join the original Mk2 buy but you got me here @norbauer . Limited edition, PC fits perfectly for the RGB TKL I always thought I would have. Here’s to a late-Christmas-early-birthday present from me to me

Thank you so much for supporting the project, my friend! I hadn’t thought about it since you guys mentioned it, but an RGB TKL is going to be pretty bling in one of these housings for sure. Please post a pic once you have yours all built!

BTW, I’m working on a gasket enhancement for acoustics on the RGB, and my tests so far indicate it’s quite effective. I hope to have something to post on that subject soon.
