Geonworks Strike HE Switch Review

Hey all,

It was only a few reviews ago that I had mentioned I wanted to get ahold of the Geonworks Strike HE switches, and these rare, niche filling clicky Hall Effect style switches finally made it here. This is your deep dive review on these switches and perhaps some of the subtle things that set them apart from click bar switches you’ve tried before…

As always, thank you all for the continued love and support. I just got a good few packages of switches hit the mailbox this week so be on the lookout for newer, fresher maildays, scorecards, and force curves coming out in the next couple of months!

Cheers,
Goat

Much like the Glorious Raptor HE clicky switches that predate them, these too come across as a ‘filling out of options’ for their respective vendors rather than being novel or flagship designs for their switch lineups.

As a clicky guy, this is fine by me. If economies of scale end up meaning that higher-end PCBs mostly transition to being HE/TMR, then at least I will have switch options. Sensing technology just needs to be reliable and cost effective. I’d set them once to get the actuation point close to the click event, and move on with my day. Not that it will be too terribly difficult to hunt down Box Whites on future eBay and spring swap them, LOL (thanks, 8bitdo!)

Kailh Box Jades and Navies are fun switches, sure, but they also are incredibly aggressive in both how they sound and feel and I couldn’t imagine people typing on them regularly for any length of time as a result of such.

That hurts, Goat. That really hurts.
