I made an account recently, and I didn’t know what username to pick so i just made a random 3-letter one.
I’m looking for a 65% PCB with knob, and I’ll 3d print a case for it. Also make sure its QMK/VIA. South-facing RGB is nice but not a must-have. I have minimal soldering skills.
Hello and welcome! I hope you enjoy the project, and there are lots of nice folks here if you run into any issues.
Welcome!
For an easy start, maybe consider a GMK67 barebones. It should be fairly inexpensive, but can be had with all your listed requirements. It will also come with a plate and some usable stabilizers, and it is hotswap to minimize the soldering. If you’re just dipping into this, having the original case as a guide for your own design might also be helpful.
Thank you! Its perfect for what I wanted!
Oh wait it doesn’t have qmk/via but its successor, the gmk67-s, does
aw man the gmk67-s has a screen instead of a knob. Also i dont care about wireless
Try the 67 PRO, IIRC. There are other options as well, but a barebones where most of the cost Is not in an aluminum case you don’t need seems like an easy entry point.
