Hi, I bought a HHKB Pro Classic from mechmarket with silencing rings. The seller didn’t know which kind they were so I’m hoping for an answer on here
The rings look alot like the ones that come with the plum or niz sliders.

Could also be dental bands. This style of ring is too thick for a stock slider, will reduce travel and keep the domes partially compressed, reducing their tactility

I already took them off because I thought so as well. Way more tactile without them.
If you want the tactility to remain almost the same and also silence the board, you can source some Kbdfans Silence X rings or Deskeys #2 or #3
