True, but I have a model M I bought that was almost NIB and every single plastic rivet was broken. Need to get it modded some day. That’s the key. Finding the weak point and finding a fix for it.

This reminds me, it could also be attributed to the Model M having its case opened (hence discovering the broken plastic rivets?). Perhaps certain components are meant to be kept stock, although that takes away from the fun of modding
