I’ve maintained hosting and registration for this domain for going on twenty years, back when moving from Georgia to Texas was a very recent part of my story. Over the years, it’s been a forum for a few of my buddies, raw file storage, a Google Reader replacement, and recently I have been using it to host Nextcloud, which is seriously nice, you guys.
Anyway, I have always had half a mind to use it to sell something, and ecommerce is all but turnkey these days. I actually went an ever so slightly hard route, using Woocommerce on my local Wordpress install rather than Shopify, but that was half the fun.
Right now, it’s basically a glorified Mechmarket listing, but I have dotted all the i’s and crossed all the t’s for a proper business, though really that’s just meant $300 for the LLC and time spent on paperwork. I’m going to continue rifling through my collection for anything I’d feel comfortable parting with or trusting others to deal with, and I may eventually add some services, like laser-dyeing low-end novelties, or taking consignments. If other opportunities arise or can be created, I’ll be all for that too.
Or it could sit and rot, but I’ve spent more on dumber.
