[IC] Dave's QMK, USB-C fc660c controller

May 2025 update –

i am out of my stock of davek 660c controllers; thank you to all who have purchased/DM’ed for interest, etc. not opposed to exploring re-running but the economic vicissitudes as of late and hobby slowdown make me a bit reluctant to take on the risk in current times.

for those seeking programmability, @Cipulot does have a pcb + daughterboard solution called the EC660c available at Cannonkeys. it is not compatible with the OEM Topre pcb from Leopold and you must replace both pcb and db with the Cipulot versions for it to work. i own a 660c equipped with one; installation is easy enough and there is a guide on Cipulot’s website. Heavy-6 users may need to widen their usb-ports to accommodate the USB-c female port.

otherwise, if you are planning to stick with the OEM Topre PCB – afaik Hasu is still manufacturing his controllers (Geekhack thread); there is also a Chinese 660c controller by Yang called the Yang / YDKB BLE660 (photos from a past WTS thread but also maybe available on aliexpress, tb, and the like.) disclaimer: i haven’t owned those so kindly do your own research/due diligence.

again, thank you to everyone who has reached out, it’s been great to “meet” you all over a shared affinity for this oddball 65%, and please add your comments if i missed any other alternative controllers/solutions for the FC660c.

happy thoccin -

I got a USB-C 660c controller from Hasu last month, so can confirm they’re still available.
