Based on the Data General Dasher Keyboard and of course the keyboard from the Series “Severance”, MTNU Dasher is my personal take on this Blue Retro Keycap Set.

Kits

Kits are now set in stone. I did go through the feedback from the IC form and looked at general pricing and came to the conclusion that separating the numpad from the base kit just isn’t worth it. After discussions with Vendors, we also came to the very sad conclusion of killing the 40s and Typist kits.

Most importantly, none of the kits (apart from Novelties) will require any new moulds. This is by design, because it will make the set more affordable. If you want to suggest kitting changes, please keep this in mind.

And while the Novelties do require new moulds, I feel like I’m approaching the limit of what is reasonable with a total of 29 new moulds.

Base

Full Base Kit with 4-key 40s included. Note that the 3U spacebars have 3 stems instead of the usual 5 in order to guarantee DynaCap compatibility.

Novelties

Blank F-Row is possible, some novelties inspired directly by the show, others less directly, some instead inspired by the original Data General Dasher Terminal.

International

I use QWERTZ (German layout) myself and I would never design keycaps I couldn’t really use myself, so this set is a given.

Colors

White: GMK MTNU XW1
Light Blue: Signature Plastics ABS BBJ
Dark Blue: Signature Plastics ABS BO

The SA Dasher Keycaps used the listed ABS colors, for the white I figured it’s easiest to just stick with GMK stock colors.
