Hi KeebTalk! I’m Brian, sharing Flat Out on behalf of Shotlock’s studio, Sectorform.
Flat Out takes inspiration from classic racing liveries and the engineering behind lightweight race cars. It pairs white alphas with dark modifiers and yellow accents, with novelties inspired by racing cars and the details around them.
The name comes from the racing expression “flat out”—going at full speed. We’d love to hear what you think of the design and whether the proposed kitting covers your layout.
Project details
- Manufacturer: KBS
- Profile: Cherry
- Material: KBS’s latest ABS formulation
- Production method: Double Shot
- Pricing, vendors, and release timing: TBD
We’ve selected KBS’s latest ABS formulation for a brighter, higher-pitched sound profile.
Colors
- GMK WS1
- PANTONE 548 C
- PANTONE 7404 C
These are the target color references. GMK WS1 is a color reference only; KBS is the manufacturer.
All images are renders. Lighting and screen settings can affect how colors appear, and final production colors are subject to physical sampling and approval.
Kitting
Base Kit

White alphas and dark modifiers with yellow legends, including a numpad and additional keys for alternative layouts.
Accent Kit — Replacement Keys

Accent Kit — Spacebars

Novelties Kit

The novelties are my favorite part of the set. They feature racing cars, steering wheels, driving gloves, a gear shifter, and other motorsport details. The Flat Out Enter key shows a race car in a rear-view mirror, while the novelty spacebars show a car from behind.
Kitting may change based on feedback and production requirements. If your layout is missing anything, please let us know the key size and row where possible.

Feedback and availability
We’re particularly interested in your thoughts on the colors, novelty designs, and layout coverage. Feedback here in the thread is welcome too!
This is an interest check, not a preorder. Vendors, pricing, and the release schedule are still to be confirmed. If you’re a vendor interested in the project, please contact brianelecfox@gmail.com.
I’ll keep this thread updated as the project develops. Thanks for taking a look!
