I think the purpose of the thread is to let people know you even have those social accounts, no one is going to look at EVERYONEs profile. This lets you announce that those fields are in your profile and that you have fun content. the two do not have to be mutually exclusive, but please do fill out the profile as it helps when you are looking for someones specific.
