so i was desoldering the led’s from my Steelseries Apex 7 tkl and when i went to remove some of pulled up some copper wire and some little metal rings does anyone know how to fix this
This problem can happen when applying too much heat for too long on the pads, and also due to the fact that, in order to reduce manufacturing cost, a PCB with a low Tg is often selected (and they don’t cope well with desoldering).
You will have to make a bridge with a wire between the led pin and trace or next component it is connected to; not pretty but usually fixes the problem.
