Not a keyboard post, but it is a desk post, and this is the only place I know where people care about what sits next to the board.
I got tired of unlocking my phone to check the temperature. Four or five times a day, mostly as a stalling mechanism. So I put a small screen on the desk, gave it a weather widget, and the phone now stays face down.
Three layouts to choose from β square, icon left, icon right. I went icon-left so it lines up with a clock widget on the same screen. Each widget carries its own city, which I did not expect to care about: I keep two up, home and the city my team sits in, and I stopped opening a browser tab to answer βwhat is it like there right now.β
Caveats, because there are always caveats. Refresh is roughly every two hours, so it is a glance thing, not a storm tracker. And it lives in MiraBox Craft, the software that drives the screen β it is not a Rainmeter skin and does not talk to Rainmeter at all.
Curious what other people keep on a secondary screen. Mine is weather, clock, and nothing else, and I suspect that is either very normal or very boring.
