It’s between 5° and 6°. So maybe 5.5°
With the feet flipped out it’s 10°

Thanks. I’ve never seen those measurements anywhere before.
I’ve never tried to accurately measure a keyboard angle before. The numbers I got were using my iPhone built in level. The NCR80 has some big open spaces where I can rest the phone to get a fairly accurate measurement. The phone said 7° every now and then, but then it would give me 5° like 5 times in a row.
I felt like 5° seemed a bit too flat. So I tried a different measurement. I set the case on its side and aligned the front face with the straight edge of a piece of paper. Then I used the back of the case to trace a line onto the paper. I don’t have a protractor, but I measured the angle with a speed square to be 6°
I now realize the counter I had the case sitting on was not level. So that’s where the missing degree came from when measuring with the iPhone.
I just reevaluated by moving to the floor, where the iPhone showed to be completely level.
6° and 12° with feet flipped out.
I trust this measurement to be 99% accurate
Sorry to resurrect this thread yet again, but I just discovered the “hobby” of building keyboards and the NCR80 struck my fancy. There don’t seem to be many of those chunky TKL models out there. I’ve seem a few luxury ones like the Rama U80-A, but wow… $450! The NCR seems just perfect to play around with.
The only problem I have is that I really want an R3 with WK and lights! But YMDK only appears to make an R3/WK with no lights or an R2/WKL with lights. Uggghhh!!! I wish I could convince them to make the R3 version and most everything would be great! Perfection would be getting rid of that silly LED badge and put in three more keys. Oh, and making the LEDs north facing so top shine-though keys could be used.
Oh, woe, is me! ![]()
NovelKeys sells a Classic-TKL keyboard kit which seems similar to what you are looking for. It is WK and has per-key RBGB.
Yeah, I’ve seen that, but it’s more like many of the other TKLs.
The NCR80 was nice because it had those big honkin’ bezels! The Classic TKL looks thin and svelte by comparison to these next guys…
