Thanks! I did it by accident and then actually liked it…

Same. I just checked the status of my order and it’s still marked unfulfilled. Bummer.

It’s from the pre order

Please let me know how that sounds! I’ve been told that they are on the higher-pitched side and wanted to see if that was the case here as well.

They are actually pretty high pitched. I loved the alphas without foam, but the spacebar sounded kinda thin. So i added foam, alphas still pretty clacky, now in the middle of deep and high pitched, but the spacebar is very nice now.

Edit: forget to mention very smooth as well.

Once again, absolutely beautiful color choices. The yellowed HHKB works really well with those keycaps. What did you use to paint the other one?

@leemu That one I did with a spray gun, its a pearlescent blue from createx. HHKB’s are a little tricky to paint, but it did turn out pretty neat.

That yellowed HHKB Pro 1 is awesome, aged topre is a crazy thing.

Tricky because of the integrated plate or something else? I’d imagine the back on a Pro 2 is a bit of a challenge, given the dip switch cover and USB hub.

Its really just the plate. Since you don’t want any paint to get into the slider housing, all of the slider housings need to be covered up. So you can either cover each one with a small square individually or mask off the entire plate. If you mask off the whole plate, you can see the white plastic between the keys and it does not look as nice, so I ended up masking off each housing.

After a short wait I am pleased to say that the HMKB is a great board.

It is super hard to capture the color of the stainless steel accurately. It I actually cooler and more gray in person. I tried adjusting the photo to no avail.

Built with Amber T1s on a steel plate. typing fatigue here we come! However, it feels so good and poppy.
