After seeing the state of your domes I had to crack open my R4 to check and see if yours was just a fluke.
One notable difference was the use of cellophane tape on my PCB instead of your black tape, achieves the same effect I guess but an odd thing to change nonetheless.
Sadly it looks like my domes are pitted as well. Holding them in my hands i can definitely see what you were talking about when you said they were sticky, they almost feel like sticky tack.
Another thing I noticed was that while the dome sheets are also oddly sticky they aren’t pitted at all while every one of the 1-4 dome strips are pitted. This means (to me at least) that their molds are worn out and its not this weird new rubber formula they’re using causing the pitting.
Also I have to agree with Beez opening this case was a major PITA, I would not recommend to first time modders.
Edit: Forgot to add I have the 45g domes, maybe the 30g is different texture wise.
