Sillyworks x HMX Waverider V2 Switch Review

Hey all,

As a Sillyworks-led, HMX-made V2 version of a multi-year old tactile switch made by KTT, how I could choose to not review the Sillyworks x HMX Waverider V2 switches? While they were a no-brainer for me to pick up, are they a no-brainer for you and your next tactile switch build? This is your review to find out!

As always, thank you all for the continued readership and support week in and out - it means the world to me. We’re also inching closer to Keycon by the day so for those of you who will be there as well, I look forward to seeing you all in person there!

Cheers,

Thanks for the accurate review. I tried samples and they are as you describe.

Not ideal that they went for a ‘snappier’ tactility, this time around. People described the KTT Waverider V1 as being ‘like Browns, better-than-Browns.’ I never tried the V1, but it seemed to be solidly in the light or medium-tactile category.

If people are looking for light-tactiles, the way the Waveriders were originally described, they are probably better off choosing the AKKO Bittersweet or MX Petal from your list of comparisons.
