Spring weights and keyboard sound

Recently I’ve been interested in the various elements that come together to make up the sound of a keyboard. I know that the type of materials used, design of the case and plate, empty space within the case, choice of switch, use of lubricant, and many other factors all come together to give a keyboard it’s own special sound. I’m curious, though, as to what effect lighter or heavier spring weights plays into this sound, and if that difference varies between switch types.
