The Key Company Banana Split Buesday

Seems like a good case for those UHMWPE stems, eh? Full UHMWPE linear

I’m working on putting the UHWMPE stems in TKC’s tangies. So far, with 205g0 and tx film they are actually surprisingly quiet - haven’t tried them out in a board yet though and I admittedly haven’t compared them with a similarly lubed and filmed tangie with stock stem.

I’ve never had the chance to try Alpacas and I love the work The Key Company has been doing with these switches! Needless to say, I might be in on these.

Update on the actual subject-line switch from the TKC discord:

is the Banana Switch a recolored Tangie?
No. Nor is it a JWK recolor. Banana Splits have solid housing (nylon and polycarbonate), and Tangerines have transparent housing (proprietary C3 housing). They will sound different. In addition, Banana Splits utilize the C3 upper housing mold.

So it’s not exactly an Alpaca or a Tangie, but it’s probably a nylon alpaca bottom and a tangie top (made of PC instead of UHMWPE?)
