For people picking up C stock and lower housings, I’ve also been told that you can Bondo and sand dents in aluminum parts and then powder coat on top of that. (Apparently, the powder melts at a lower temperature than the body filler.)

Been daily driving the white/gold Norbaforce for a week now and it’s been great. The gold is very subtle, you forget it’s there until the light hits it a certain way. Really nice finish.

I think he said that there were some more ready to go after the gofp norbaforces; but perhaps took a week break or so to catch up on shipping.
I built my grails! Unfortunately one was accidentally shipped with the wrong backplate so once that’s sorted out (I’m in contact with them already so no worries) I’ve got them all built. I was able to swap the plates between them so I could verify all is well other than a hhkb2 backplate for one.
I replaced the VHS finish sliders with the deskeys sliders, but don’t have a sufficient set of cherry caps to cover them—so the photos of that might look a bit silly 
. Im waiting on Norbauer’s keycap set next year, but in the meantime I’ll get to play around with some cheaper sets I put on order last night.
As a daily driver, if I use the periwinkle I’ll swap out my mouse pads to a lighter color which really makes it pop. Good thing I’m a weirdo and there’s both a long black desk mat under the two red pads as well as a longer all white desk mat.

And at some point I want to re-enable bluetooth with a battery by doing the mod that someone pointed out last year (IIRC). But unfortunately don’t know exactly where to solder yet to connect the voltage regulator and the battery management system. Hopefully I can find a schematic or the user checks his keebtalk reddit messages and can send me a few hints

Ha. Yes, I saw these last week at Disneyland. Sometimes the stuff that gets made in the world of Disney merch amazes me. It’s impressive what commercial viability there can be for the most obscure mashups when you have something sufficiently popular. I was similarly musing on the Grogu trick-or-treat Halloween tree ornaments.
