And maybe run the Captain America set through SP and make it in the US? IDK, letâs just move on to the Retro set ASAP. Is that an option? Can I pay them to scrap the Inifi-pee Saga and get to the Retro?
When you put it like that, woof!
Iâd never be in for a set like this anyway, but Iâd find those colors unappealing regardless.
The probably ran it in 2-shot MT3 because:
- It makes them more money
- The production lead time isnât 18 mos like almost every other option out there.
Does anyone remember what this weird layout was called? It made me go Hmmm⌠but I also kind of liked it.

isnât that the yas62?
Yes!!! Thank you. I was close. When I first remembered this thing I looked up the Yasui, but that is a different keyboard.
YAS-62 gang represent. That layout is near and dear to my heart, in case you canât tell. I only wish mine had come with a split backspace. Depending on how difficult it is I might mod mine. Any pointers?
Is that the special run of Tina for the YAS-62?
You have to desolder the whole board so that you can put the stabilizers in for the 2.75u and 2.25u spacebars and remove the 6.25u spacebar
just to clarify, he said âsplit backspaceâ
Whoops. @kimslawson I misread your question. Backspace mod might be easy. If the plate supports it and you can pull the stabilizer out without removing the plate, then all you have to do is desolder one switch, pull the stabilizer out, and solder in two new switches.
The photos look marginally better than the renders. Maybe itâs especially disappointing for an IP set, but if anything, I think itâs average. There are many worse sets and many better sets.
Coincidentally and unintentionally, GMK a or GMK Parcel may be a better aesthetic for a âCaptain Americaâ set
The description says these hold the âlongest switch title in the worldâ and that theyâre the only one of its kind to ever exist.
Sure. OK. But then I read further and it states a travel of 3.69mm. If thatâs total travel, big deal, but if thatâs pretravel, then dang. That would make itâs pretravel longer than most switches total travel. Nuts. If anyone gets a hold of some, Iâd love to learn a bit more about them.
- Travel: 3.69mm
- Bottom out: 63.5g
- Pin : 5-pin
- Factory lube : None
I have some on the way and the only thing Iâm annoyed about is that I cant find anything on the manufacturer of the switches (I assume its the same one for both of them but ÂŻ\(ă)/ÂŻ )
OH man, you missed the non-UHMWPE goodness:
-
Longest switch in the world (the fuck does that mean?)
-
Best design for uwu, less wobble, and designed to be less defective than previous PE stems existing (wait, was there a âbest uwu designâ award that I missed?)
-
Self sound damper (WHAT? are they silenced? who knowsâŚ)
-
Kawaii looking switches (wait⌠didnât we cover this?)
It gets better?!?

Ugh, I know. Iâm beyond confused now. Explain yourself good sir!
Hopefully @Pandamom98 can fill us in soon. Iâm going to be so annoyed until then.
Well, naming one of your switches âInfinity key (UHMWPE) Cow Strawberry Milkâ is quite long indeed. Reminds of me the Buckling Spring patent name.
I would see no reason why they would make the pre-travel that long assuming the bottom out is 4mm. I meanâŚwhy? Fair enough if thatâs the case though.
Had to look up the definition of âuwuâ.
âSquee! Uwu is an emoticon depicting a cute face. It is used to express various warm, happy, or affectionate feelings. A closely related emoticon is owo, which can more specifically show surprise and excitement.â
I guess youâre suppose to feel this emotion when you type on the switches???
Iâll just assume some things were lost in translation.
I kind of wonder if thereâs not some âlost in translationâ going on there. Otherwise, the bombast in those claims is epic. I kind of admire the cheekiness even.
Ooo ⌠that makes some sense. Such a weird and completely arbitrary claim. I mean Iâm sure when they were coming up with names, their goal wasnât to create the worldâs longest switch title. Oh well, it worked. I need to see what theyâre talking about now.
This switch is so doggone extra, youâll need to buy 'em twice
I get the logic here, interesting idea/poor execution? But my biggest gripe with this layout is why did they have to bungle the numpad mods? Thatâs not even standard for split enter/+
