It’s wild that that is the 4th time it’s happened

Edit: seems like they’d have a case to hold FedEx accountable for the refund funds… and maybe GMK and/or Omnitype could ditch FedEx moving forward.

I have no clue what it looks like because IMGUR doesn’t work for me, but I guess color mismatch?

Mmmnope… imagine a pallet of keycap shipments with extreme water damage, and the sides shredded and hanging in tatters. Inside, the waterlogged and abused shipments squished, bent, foreshortened, and just generally mangled. And the poor group buy runner looking at the fedex delivery person like ā€œyou expect me to sign for that?ā€ It’s brutal.

Having worked at FedEx, I’m pretty sure that dropped Freight shipments have a time window for being delivered. And if it was left, it was perhaps approved to be left there in advance by Omnitype. Terrible fate that the plastic wrap on the pallet didnt hold up to the rain. I just hope the ink in the packaging doesn’t bleed through onto the caps.

It looks like a total loss at first, but I think this is only water damage to one side of the pallet. So, perhaps this will only effect a low percentage of customers.

Seems strange that this keeps happening though.

Mold, what about mold? I’m so bummed.

How can FedEx let this happen? there’s at least $20K if not $30K of damaged goods in that pallet, possibly even more.

Looks like each box is 44(11x2x2) sets and 12 boxes per pallet for 528 sets each. At sold pricing, that’s a big oofers right there, as the youngns say.

Sell/ship them in bags + store credit/ 50%off your next GMK

There is a chip shortage that is not new news but over the last few weeks prices of atmega32u4-au have skyrocketed. LCSC is charging $136.68 for one. Should be under $6 even if it was double that at $12 I would still buy it. I purchased some on eBay at the end of December for $6 ea. AliExpress and ebay are up to $30-$40 ea.

Sure there are other atmega and stm MCUs but this is a popular one.

Edit followup thought looking at my mcu stash lol
