Got an IFIXIT Mako precision bit & driver set in today. Very nice quality, all the bits seem to be made very well & the driver is all metal. The flexible extension could be made better, but seems like it’ll hold up to the abuse a precision driver is meant to take. Overall I’m very pleased with the set & will be buying some more IFIXIT products in the future!

These are great, the only downside though is that if you have a fastener down in a deep well, this usually can’t reach.
I kind of wish they’d introduce a small range of long bits for that purpose.

Amen to that! I looked all over for a set that had longer bits included & just couldn’t find one that had the smaller sizes. Thankfully I got a bunch handled drivers with long shanks in most types & sizes of heads because I am a carpenter. Although those sets are expensive & not very realistic to buy for hobby purposes.

I got that same kit for Christmas last year. I grow more impressed with it each time I use it.
I also highly recommended some wiha drivers for deep wells.

Yo, this case is seriously the coolest thing I’ve seen from this hobby in years. Get one. It’s perfect. The plastic is perfect, the tolerances are perfect. It’s SO COOL

That is a really cool keyboard. I dig scale models and looked at this kit as a lot of fun, but decided to pass and now seeing your pictures I’m having some regrets.
Is the base in the final picture with the inset keycap part of the kit?

Yep. There’s even a hole for a switch down there. So that keycap is on a gateron blue!

The PCB that is so nice & just the right price that I had to buy twice!
Grabbed me another HADflex60 with the daughter board & USB port still on (easy enough to remove if I need to, figured better to have than have not!). The more I thought about what build I want to put my first in the more I realized it’d be best to have one for the Monoflex & one for the Salvation. If they somehow are still in stock next thurs when I get paid I’m grabbing a third to have on for my Thermal also. I really think these PCBs are not only great value, but a great product for those of us who go for softer typing typing experiences! I think it was @pixelpusher who said they used one of these with a PC full plate in their Unikorn & it finally made it feel like he expected it to originally. Hearing stories like that makes me want to stock up on these TBH!

I’ve been opening switches manually with tweezers ever since I got into this hobby. Today, I received a ai03 x KBDfans 2-in-1 Aluminum Switch Opener in the mail and I literally can’t get it open. I’ll be searching my house for a big magnet so maybe I can open this thing and use it. smh my head
