What did you get in the mail today? (Part 1)

I had to get this just because of the building kit style of it. And it’s an awesome case too.

Got the numpad/ISO kit for GMK Bleached (the set feels incomplete without them to me & now I have a few boards that have numpads), 2 packs of 45g long springs, & 2 packs of 50g regular springs from Mekibo in today. Then a few days ago I got a Obscura Cyfurb in the Bladerunner colorway in.

Nice, let us know the build you do with it goes! Those Burger Works 60 cases caught my eye when they first popped up. Never had a chance to grab one myself & haven’t heard much about they perform though. Definitely something I have wanted to give a try.

Finished the build with vintage mx blacks (no lube no film, im not a fan in most cases) g-mky red samurai pbt caps and bm60 pcb. it sounds pretty thocky and it was fun and easy to assemble the case. it’s a bit light since i’m using a polycarb plate, but i quite like it. could maybe benefit from case dampeners but i’m not sure if that will keep the cases ā€œpersonalityā€ in sound.

Finally! SA Skyriter turned up after a long wait working out post Brexit nonsense.

Currently on my Penna Elretron keyboard while I wait for my mint green Saturn 60.

Pictures do not do justice to the beauty of these keycaps.

Whoa! That’s really cool. I’d never even heard of that keyboard before either, but it’s all coming together right there. Curiosity begs me to ask if the line return lever functions in some way?

It does! When you lift it up you can record a macro. Then you put it back to its normal position and every time you touch it down the macro plays. I’ve not found much use for it - other than recording a double return for extra authenticity.

It’s not a perfect keyboard by any means. The Bluetooth is incredibly unstable and there’s no other way to connect. But I couldn’t say no - particularly with these keycaps in mind.

That is genuinely awesome. I love features like that.

I recently switched from RF to Bluetooth and I haven’t been too impressed with the stability or performance. I’m even using known, well rated gear, so it may not be just the keyboard? Or maybe all my stuff is wonky too.

The Bluetooth on this board is notoriously iffy. It connects to my phone but not to my PC which is where I wanted to use it. If I have the choice I’ll always plug in, but I like to have the option.

Not that you would want to do this, but I wonder if it would be possible to retrofit a USB connection? I think I would also avoid a board that only used wireless connectivity.

That may well be a possibility. Though a messy one. any and all forums about the keyboard are a litany of Bluetooth woes and angry Kickstarters. I don’t think I knew about the Bluetooth only when I got mine off eBay. I certainly wouldn’t get another one.

Wow those colors match really well. Seems like the perfect keeb for those keys.

They do match really well. I was keeping an eye on the actual production colours and thankfully they go well. I’m just hoping they go well with the green Saturn 60 I’ve got coming.

It’s finally here!

Bet it will type like a dream! From what I’ve heard these have an excellent typing feel.

KEEBMAT from @keebs !

Honestly my reaction is what I thought it would be, and I am kind of pissed. I like this way better than the big mats… and I came to this conclusion after joining GBs for the big mats… oh well.

Nice to have room again to write in a notebook again!

glad to hear some feedback on their mats.
I considered getting one but I’m on the other spectrum of covering my whole desk with a giant deskmat, then I use two other 90cm deskmats on top of that for my input devices.

I think this one will be perfect for the office once I go back. Might keep a big mat at home. Nice thing about this little guy is that I have some security from coffee spills too!

Imma be real honest, I thought you were talking about the mouse mat. I didn’t even see the little mat poking out from under the keyboard.

Gonna have to check these folks out now it seems.
