What did you get in the mail today? (Part 2)

Yes, I have quite a load of keyboards.

I bought the shelf off of etsy. I love how rugged and sturdy it is. It is, indeed, made with lumber and pipes. I find the depth of 16 inches to be perfect for storage. The TKL cases hang off the front and the back by about 1/2 an inch. Really happy with it. I’ve looked for something like this for literally years. Never could find anything fitting at IKEA or Amazon or such.

Did I count 51 keyboards there?

Yep. There are now an additional 4 on the top shelf so that’s 55 in for the one shelf. Great use of space

I feel better about my addiction now. Can you post more pictures so I can show my girlfriend?

You just gave @pixelpusher an excuse to purchase another 162 to get to a grand total of 366 (leap years included)… :see_no_evil:

I like seeing everyone pick up Ember on sale.

WOW look at that glossary… maybe it needs an alphabetical filter?

It seriously does - that’s actually the first item on my list of changes when I get around to updating it

It’s a simple set but so lovely.

I tacked Ember onto my NK order to bump it over their free shipping minimum, but I’m pleasantly surprised with how it looks in person. Plus, can’t really go wrong with NK Cherry sets!

It’s surprisingly versatile and sounds good. I have mostly used it all-white or with the yellow Enter and Esc.

Like so many other sets and switches I own, I’ve yet to mount Ember. When I eventually get around to it, I think I may go with orange to match the cap labels, or possibly go for the full orange, yellow, and red for some extra color. I also bought Cherry Sage which (surprise! shock!) I haven’t mounted yet either. Is the answer more keyboards so all my keycaps have a home? That will solve all my problems!

Actually not received today, but a couple of days ago.

I got my full custom Yuzu keycap set.
Just a quick potato snapshot:

The dye-sub as such is flawless.
Nice and sharp, even the tiny orange sublegends are perfectly readable.

On some of the keys the print is a little off-center, with a little misalignment in the east-west line.

But other than that I am really happy with the result.

Ordered on the 16th of June, delivered on the 6th of July, processing at customs included.
Not bad!

These Cherry Embers are very tempting. Are they made by GMK for NovelKeys? Do you know?

No they’re Cherry profile PBT, GMK does not do PBT in Cherry profile (although I really wish they did! LOL) Mike the owner of NK hasnt disclosed the manufacturer of his PBT sets AFAIK, but they are very high quality IME.

Yah they’re similar quality to NicePBT. Quite good.

@ListlessLlama I think the legends are akshully red but not the same intense saturation as the red accents, which aren’t dyed, or maybe they seem lighter surrounded by white. You get a subtle suggested gradient if you use a yellow and an orange Enter and Esc.

They look really great on a grey board.

Thanks for posting this. My youngest child, Jack, has a YUZU set picked out but has been anxious on placing an order. I’ll let them know about your experience.

Obviously, for use with the English US International layout. Nice! The only thing I miss, is a quick way to type à and è in French with this layout.

From where do they ship? If it is outside the EU, it quickly runs into the papers if they do not precharge VAT like Aliexpress does.
