Also, when I had the caps off, I noticed that the SWK Yang switch tops had yellowed already. Stems seem uneffected.
I’m betting it’s the EVA foam in the case that caused it

All above-1.75-u keycaps from pbt keycap sets have some small warping (very common).
No noticeable bleeding, very nice, though I have one keycap from the olivia set stained (Not too disturbing since it’s not visible during normal usage). I hope it’s just normal ink or smth and not some dangerous chemicals (?)
The GMK truffelschwein is my favorite among these old sets. Interestingly, the real product appears to be less reddish pink compared to the renders. Looks more peachy pink (?) which is more realistic than the cartoonish “Peppa the Pig”-like pink.
No warping (not surprising for ABS DS), blemish/stain, or some noticeable injection leftovers as expected from gmk.
The only ouchh is this veryy small chipping on the space bar.
Very nice experience overall.

- “Fat Tiger V9 TEC UPE” 13.5mm linear Stems. Having some experience with how Taobao/Xianyu and some slang works, TEC probably refers to Tecsee. Highly doubt they are UPE, as always. UPE has a very specific feel to it, very slippery and almost soft feeling. Very different from other plastics as POM or POK. This one is more like POM, but i will do some more tests. If it has stick-slip in a full POM housing when we know for sure.
- Gateron Cangyuan. Not sure where these came from, i think from some Prebuilt keyboard, but they are very nice. Gateron long pole linears with POM stem and Nylon housing. If i had to, i’d say they are like Gateron SLAY but with reduced travel. Similar sound too.
- Gateron Rantopad KS-1. Very old and very rare. These have a very unique shape and design and they are actually very good for their age. The wobble is pretty okay and they are decently smooth. Sadly mine came already spring swapped, so they aren’t 100% original. POM stem, Nylon housing here too.
- Jixian Holy Cattle / Ox Blue. Another very rare and kind of old Jixian Custom. POM stem with Nylon housing, as far as i can tell. It’s an old Tactile switch that ran as a GB exclusively for china and for a very short time, if i remember right. I’d say the bump is somewhere between a holy panda and a good brown switch in strength.
- JWK Infiverse Yunmu. Supposed to be “inspired by” BCP, but they aren’t really. They have (almost) full 4mm travel and more stem wobble than the old gateron KS-1. They are smooth and have a good sound, but yeah, big turn off. POM stem with PA Nylon top and “Polymer” Bottom. I assume it’s also just Nylon.

Looking good! Makes me think I should store my cases on their sides like that too, easier to access them.

I realized a long time ago that I’d need to store them this way to have enough room, so that’s why I started getting cases for most of them. Now, the problem is that shelf only holds 1/4 or less of what I own. And we’re not discussing the totes of keycaps and switches. I think this is a great shelf but I simply need to stop collecting, or get a studio for the collection.

Got a lot of stuff in the mail today but one thing I thought I would mention is PBTFans Resonance R2.
I love the original set and I was pleasantly surprised to find that R2 DOES have slightly different main color for the alphas from R1. R2 is a deep deep brown. Almost black, but not black

If I can ever find the time, I do intend to have a sort of digital museum portion on my website (which I haven’t updated in like, over a year and definitely need to find new hosting for)… 
Between the full-time work and new roommates, though, it’ll prolly be a minute - but my goal is to rather extensively archive all the switches I’ve collected with photos, demonstration videos, and controlled-condition audio recordings to use as a sort of comparative database. Might be years from now before I get to setting it all up, but I think about it almost every day, ha!

I love the idea of a digital museum. I have all of my collection in a Notion database, but I would love to have something more in-depth and creative. I’ve looked into themes for Notion sites, but it’s not nearly as creative as what I envision. I keep telling myself it would be a good creative endeavor, and I could dust off my web development skills. Also, it could be very practical as a means of selling items. I could just have a tag on it that says “Item for sale” with button to purchase.
That is… if I was to ever sell a keyboard. LOL. Remember I did sell a keyboard one time. I sold a Novatouch on eBay back in the day. Then, I re-purchased the same keyboard a few years later.
