Aren’t these just KnockKnock Studio’s DuckDuck Switches? (商品详情) Or is that another Case where Unikeyboards just picked a random (wrong) name for the Switch and everybody went along with it?

It’s probably because of the box.
It says on it - " Sunset Gleam"
I will even write more.
I, bought version 4.0 new.))))))))))
But as always. What came to me was not what I wanted at all)
Soon they will send me the correct version that I bought.
In my country, too, by the way, everyone writes them or speaks like
“Sunset Gleam”
BUT. In the slang of our language, when communicating briefly what kind of switch, we of course write - “Duck”.

Yes they are the same switch as the KnockKnock DuckDuck. I think Unikeys renames them for the western market TBH.

Small rant, sorry. xD
But Unikeyboards is a weird fella, so sometimes i ask in advance. Wouldn’t be the first time they did something fucky. Sometimes he renames them just because he likes a different name better, like how he renamed the “CC Studio Sakura” switches Manufactured by “LCET” to now “Unidondonkeeb Hepburn” manufactured by “Unidondonkeeb”. Just because he felt like “Hepburn” sounds better to him. To Quote himself : The reason to name them Hepburn switches is because they reminded me of Hepburn : Byōsoku Go Senchimētoru. XL Studio named them Sakura Fall switches, and I reckon calling them that would be too straightforward.
Note how he even got the Name of the Designer wrong…
To make it worse, when people asked him why he changed the Name to “Unidondon” he just said “He was testing a Trademark system and is sending it to Agencies and Lawyers to try for Trademark protection” or something along those lines.
Trademark protecting what? Listings on your Store? Products that he is neither designing nor manufacturing nor the other of?

Hmm, yeah that does sound a little shady if he’s renaming in hopes of trademarking switches designed & made by completely out of house. I’ve been a big fan of Unikeys, but it sounds like I better keep an eye on that situation. As I would not want to support that type of behavior from vendors.

Took advantage of the Novelkeys clearance sale and a lucky find on eBay.
Switches are Box Navys, naturally ![]()

The Litchi Milk are actually pretty decent for what they cost.
They are very similar in intensity to my light Ergo Clears [63.5 G Progressive Spirit], but are ‘P-shaped’ instead of ‘p-shaped’ like Cherry Clears are.
There is a tiny bit of scratch or spring-shuffling, but seemingly no worse than Gateron Jupiter Browns or other comparable budget tactiles.
I’d say that they are a competitive, low-cost pre-lubed light/medium-tactile, and worthy of review from someone like Theremingoat. Getting something of this quality for .30 CAD in 2020 was unthinkable. It’s true that the factory lube makes them feel and sound a bit ‘flat,’ but there’s nothing really offensive, and they aren’t obnoxiously loud either. Plus, they rebound better than Ergo Clears.

You’re right.
Then if I’m more specific, I’ll write it like this)
The mechanical keyboard switch is perceived in two ways. The first is the pressing itself. The second is sound.
So usually with cheap ones it happens that either the pressure is good but the sound is bad. Or the sound is good, but the pressure is bad)
When you play games or work and there is a strong sound
background noise. Then the pressing itself comes first. And if it’s pleasant. This simplifies your attitude towards extraneous sounds from the switch itself.
But when it’s the other way around. You sit in silence and not only feel the pressing itself, but also very loudly and clearly hear all the pressings. Then, no matter how hard you try, the overtones begin to infuriate you. And the longer you try to ignore it, the more annoying they become)

Got a Amtelco KB-163 in yesterday from the awesome @rpiguy9907 (huge thanks bud!). It was pretty dirty, but man did it clean up well. Definitely a very cool board I am glad to add to my collection!

I was surprised the vintage blacks were still smooth as it was pretty dirty.

I can tell you that the Geon Trimmer is great for making sure aritans fit just right and switches don’t crack stems. It’s also a much better tool for holding stems to lube! ![]()

As far as that cap puller, prepare for disappointment, as it’s one of the flimsiest I have used. Hibi just finished the groupbuy on their Pocket Puller, which I can’t wait for. While it’s not cheap, it seems well made and I have it on good authority that the wires are replaceable.
My current cap puller favs are my brass beauty from Alchemy, and this little keycap puller from Swagkeys.
DK has great brushes as well as I stock up on those if the Geon brushes are sold out.
Nice haul!!!

Also, I was sent Glorious’ new keycap set to review… I am still in the middle of editing it, but these are NOT the keycaps you are looking for… ![]()

Oh using the stem trimmer to hold them for lubing is a good ideal! In fact that might make the Geon stem holder I got redundant
. Yeah the keycap puller is definitely a lot more flimsy than I was expecting it to be, which is a little disappointing but my fault. I didn’t realize the handle would actually be springy!
Think I’m probably gonna grab on of Hibi’s pocket pullers too. The more different types of keycap puller I try the more I end up coming back to basic wire one. That cheapo plastic keycap/switch puller I got awhile back is awesome for boards with really tight tolerances between the case & caps, but it is also very flimsy. I literally just got done putting glue in the joints of the keycap puller part cause they were starting crack. The Gateron one might be of better quality, although it’s still gonna be two fairly slim pieces of plastic that hold onto the cap so I see it suffering from the same issues as the cheap one I got.
Also nice haul you got there too! Expo is a very interesting set & that Salvun cap is just awesome! Rocky Bird looks great too! I never realized the legends are gray not white, might have to cop a set myself. I got a good laugh from what you said about the GPBT caps, I never tried any myself but was pretty sure they were basically marked up cheapo PBT caps. As a freebie though I would’ve gave them a shot also.
