What did you get in the mail today? (Part 2)

DSotM is tied for first for me with “Wish You Were Here.”

Alan Parsons pulled off an amazing feat of engineering on DSotM. To think that they were able to make an album like this 50+ years ago still boggles my mind.

And for it to all come together at the infamous Abbey Road… A tour of Abbey Road is definitely on my bucket list :crossed_fingers:

I’m partial to Animals + Meddle, but I think Dark Side and Wish You Were Here are objectively sort of their masterpieces. The stormblown soundscape of Dark Side is so unique. Maybe I just can’t separate it from the Wizard of Oz pairing.

Never got into the whole Dark Side of Oz, but I can definitely recommend the entire experience of watching the concert visuals they would display while listening to the album in 5.1 surround that is available on the Immersion Box Set Blu-Ray.

The Quadriphonic mix is also quite nice…

Ended up grabbing GMK WoB & the spacebar kit for DCS Sleeper from Dorp to use up my KBC discount for the month. Now I got the WoB trifecta (GMK, KKB, & DCX) so if anyone wants any comparisons just let me know!

Extremely jealous of that Salvation finish. Wish someone would do an 1800 or full-size in copper slag. :black_heart:

I saw someone local to BeCoatings in Belgium have an arbitrary keyboard refinished in the alpine slag…

Got my Lume Keebs order in today! The KTT Vanilla Ice Cream switches are pretty fire, very smooth & no spring or leaf ping stock. They sound great, I see why some of you guys like POK so much now. With a proper lubing & maybe films these should be really nice switches! Then the Gateron Twins keycap/switch puler is built way way better than the cheapo one I got. I put a comparison pic so you could see where the cheapo one started to break The keycap puller side on the cheapo one is designed pretty badly with with that groove right by the housing on the legs. The Gateron one seems to be a much more durable design & the legs are thinner. The switch puller side I can’t say yet for the Gateron one, but the cheapo one works so I’m assuming the Gateron one will too. Although I am not a big fan of these type of switch puller so I doubt I’ll ever use it anyways. All in all well worth the buy for just the keycap puller side IMHO.

Picked up an etched CF backplate cover for my Kohaku from Hype Keyboards to jazz it up a bit. :sunglasses:

Also, can’t remember of I posted it here or not, but tossed GMK Underworld on it, as well as a few more artisans

Damn, that’s a dope setup! Love the CF backplate with the design, very cool stuff for sure!

Stopped past Hiney’s shop & picked up my 2 Purple Nurple H87c PCBs. Then I got my latest win from Maison of the West in the mail today.

Back from PNW vacation. Way too much piled up to post. But I thought these GSA caps were nifty. I got mine from aliexpress, but I think Unikeys is going to sell them starting tomorrow. I still can’t speak for the longevity of the UV printing, but the profile is familiar to type on if you are used to SA or MT3. And the finish is glossy like HSA. I like them a lot

Need to find the perfect case for them

Also plan to use them with matching HMX Game 1989 switches:

Such a fun set. I love how that ENTER key resembles the top of an original GameBoy cartridge (just like the Class80)!

I need to convince them to run a r3 of class80 with gray or black as an option
