Sillyworks x Gateron Type R tactiles from Milktooth
Pretty snappy! I think I’m gonna like these. First impression in the hand is that they do indeed have that “lightswitch” all-bump feel. I definitely look forward to putting them in a full board soon.
LDSA is finally here, though I wanted the warmer grey more than this one. Tried them on two different boards now, Klotz with some tilt and the Endgame plain flat. I like the flat feeling a lot more, not really my type with the tilt. But all in all, clear recommendation. This is so much better than MBK and on the Endgame, even feels better than the MJF printed CS.
This week in my mailbox: some caps from 3dkeycap, a Lexicon from Ewen (Weirdlittlekeebs), and a mouse from GravaStar. Links, reviews and more info here.
Got my LDSA keycaps in today. I’m currently using them on the home row of my Totem along with DDC on the rest of the board. This combo feels fantastic, and I think I will continue using this combo on my Choc boards in the future.
I may try out a full board of LDSA later, but I enjoy the different home row feel based on my history with Kinesis Advantage boards.
Got my Matrix 3.0/3⅓ PCB in from the Faye GB just in time to avoid getting spanked with tariffs thankfully. Then also got some new Nightcaps resin in the past few days!
I give it up, I’m unable to capture the true colors of this gorgeous kit. Sorry for the potato photos, but this is probably the coolest set I’ve ever owned. KAP Generation, received from Monacokeys.
The accent color is much more vivid. The official photos are a bit closer, but still not perfect – they are even more vivid irl.
And not a perfect match, but I wanted to try it on the red pcb/plate of the WeirdLittleKeeb Lexicon.
I just got in my Faye GB PCB and plate for the Matrix MY-2K. Unfortunately the board itself hasn’t shipped so I’m pretty stoked to pay tariffs on that guy.
Oh yeah, I’ll get hit by that one too. And I just pre-ordered the Agar as well . Fun times. Let’s hope retaliatory tariffs don’t escalate things. Don’t really feel like paying an extra 25-50% for items that I’ve already purchased if things get out of hand.
After using my Boston in the office for several months, I realized that the layout was perfect, with the exception of the extra F row on top (just takes up a bit more real estate on my already small desk). I went back to a Keychron V6 and just didn’t like the width. I’m in love with that 1800 layout.
So, this showed up today:
Epomaker Galaxy 100
It’s mushy, the switches are way too light and I detest the keycap profile. Will be a good workbench project for the weekend.
Fresh from South Korea: 110 Cherry MX2A Purple switches, a Geon stem shaver and 50A tadpoles for my beloved W1-AT. Switches are for the next build, but the 50A tadpoles in the W1-AT feel awesome!
KAM Blanks White
Invokeys Daydreamer, which seem to be the first silents I seem to like
Another 0xCB Gemini and Piezo Buzzer for the Endgame
Some colored MBKs to finish my Stress
And a cheap Corne V4 I picked up at AliExpress, 40€ for an assembled Corne was just a way too good deal. The print quality of the case is ok-ish, got some serious warping on two corners of the left half. One LED needs a little reflow, besides that, great for the price.
