What is on your desk today?

I took this board that I made last year with Outemu mid-height Blacks and replaced the laser-cut standoffs with a 3D-printed “case” consisting of spacers and sidewalls to hide the masonite. I also touched up a cold joint on one of the keys, changed the screws, and added feet, as I find I like that particular profile better with a small incline. I like zero-degree boards pretty well as long as the keytops also have a zero-degree incline, but these “JWA” from AliExpress, while uniform, give each cap a slight slope. Final touch was to glue a Magsafe ring for cellphones to the underside. The entire setup is a bit jank until you get the angle just right (much simpler when the tablet and keyboard are separated), but it’s silly fun to have a fake laptop, and the Amber-on-black theme for FocusWriter is cooler than it has any right to be.
