Yeah, they aren’t noticeably “loosey-goosey”. I only had a problem with this when I had pearlios on my bakeneko65. On those o-ring mount boards, I usually pressure the top row’s keycaps and rely on the stem/keycaps friction to take out the PCB. I wasn’t able to do that with pearlios.
I have not tried any other UHMWPE stem linear, so maybe they are a lot tighter than others.
They are terrible. Gazzew took the regular Outemu/Kulong low profile switch and redesigned the top housing for greater keycap compatibility. However, the new tops are extremely rattly and wobbly compared to the original, which had very tight and solid housings. They are sold on MKUltra as GTMX switches and have been discontinued there.
The only interesting variant is the tactile switch, which does not use the traditional method for generating tactility.
If you are getting linear or clicks switches, just get the original Outemus they are much better.
Huh, what you’re calling the tactile leaf looks kind of like the snap spring Outemu uses in their optoelectronic switches to generate tactility. Always wanted to try those, didn’t know they existed in another switch.
Finished my staggered Oxymoron build today! Once I solder the ortho pcb I’ll take some more pics, but here’s a first. I think Godspeed helps highlight the goofy modifier sizes I chose, lol.
Ok. I just recognized that my watch was running 5 full days and nights + 4 hours until it stopped showing the current time 90 minutes ago. About 50% of the time it was connected to wi fi and was polling for the weather every 6 minutes when connected. So as normal watch without internet connection I guess it will stay on even longer.
Bought it pre-built with an alu plate + lubed cherry MX black hyperglides, but the build felt a bit ‘tinny’ and thin. Switched to a PC half plate + trusty Cobalt POM linears + 21kb Space Cadet and it’s a dream. Loving everything about this board. Unfortunately, this’ll be my last for awhile but that’s alright. I think this is my endgame/grail for now.
