The pictures have such a nice/calming vibe.
Every time our little fur ball is on my desk all I see are two legs, a tail and a little assterisk connecting those parts.
Got my ROTR set up
edit: copper knob not brass lol
Really happy I went with the copper knob. I guess some folks are having fitment issues but I seem to have been spared. It does take quite a bit of finessing to get the knob seated securely and spinning true though.
Looking for some advice. Just getting Heavy-6 to where I want it. Should I leave the yellow novelties, or go with all-blue gradient? Very unsure. Any feedback appreciated.

Keep the yellow novs! They look really cool and give the board a nice accent.
Loving the yellow pop for sure. I vote keep it.
Another vote for keeping the yellow. Looks great!
Got my Serika today. Not fully assembled yet (I cheated a little by keeping the Domikey Astronaut alphas, haha). Just having fun until the rest of my cable components arrive.
I recently acquired a Kemper profile stage floorboard amp, and it’s been a ton of fun just messing around with different amp profiles.
Also got some CRP R5A beige keycaps from their R4 extras. And…. I think it’s ruined a lot of keycap sets for me. It’s something so subtle but just seems to fit TKLs so well. Here they are on my Frog.
I wouldn’t use the Noveltie-enters as Shift because of the rows. Other than that it looks good.
Phenomenal point, completely spaced on this. Going to swap “Enter”, and put yellow escape on top left to keep balance. Thanks for the opinions, everyone!
Also, Belafonte should have the kitting to cover your bottom row properly. Your Ctrl and Alt are the wrong size.
The bottom row is actually by design. Belafonte doesn’t have a 6u spacebar, so I’m using Shapeways 6.25u stabs/sliders to allow me to use the 6.25. This does cause the bottom row to be a bit “non-traditional”, but it’s the only way to use a lot of sets on a Topre-to-MX converted board.
Ah, yes 6U is a pain to source sometimes
Someone modded his bottom row on a realforce to use it with a 6.25 spacebar.
It needs some work on the regular plate and source a 6.25 wire :
21kb just had some pre-orders and I was waffling about getting a set. You’re making me wish I had.
There are a few 21kbs sets floating on mechmarket and I think there are some in-stock v3 on their website too, if you are looking for one. I definitely love the look of 21kb keycaps, but I don’t know if these thick PBT weaken the tactility of the switch. I am want to try DCS on pewter since I read their thin keycaps match light weight quite well.
Gateron North Pole linears
First impressions in the board are in-line with those in the hand, and so far jive with the review or two I’ve seen. That is, they kind a seem like “Aqua Kings, but better” - much of that “better” coming in the form of consistency.
They’re actually a lot more like Aqua Kings than I first expected after trying a few other clear switches; these have that same “thick” feeling - it’s a little hard to describe. They’re very smooth and very clean, but there’s a resistance to the travel - it reminds me of Momoka Frogs - and of course, Aqua Kings - they have a pretty similar feeling.
They return with plenty of spring, but ever so slightly more slowly than you might expect. Not slow enough to feel sluggish to me, like at least a good chunk of Aqua Kings are - but in the same universe. Again - if Aqua Kings were consistent and all felt like the good ones do, I think the experience would be a lot like this.
These are immediately impressive in a few ways - they really do look like wet ice and are just about as slick - but I also get the impression they wouldn’t be for everyone with the almost gummy-bear chewy feeling they have. If an average switch rebounds like a balloon and the more gummy Aqua Kings rebound like memory foam, these are in-between.
Sound is deep and mellow, they’re clean all around, yeah - I think I’m a fan. Very different experience from the Nebula switches I’ve been using for the past couple weeks (review here if you’re curious about those). Where the Nebulae felt best to me with a light to medium typing style, it feels like these shine with a little more heavy-handed of one.
Basic recording in the very near future, full review in a couple weeks-ish.
This is as good a time & place as any to show PTFE tape in-practice:
