I am currently experimenting with some layouts, and for that purpose I would like to try some rather uncommon spacebar sizes.
I couldn’t find what I am looking for at the “usual” vendors.
I also tried aliexpress, but I find their search engine quite underwhelming.
Maybe anyone has some experience/knowledge?
I’m interested in all sorts of uncommon spacebar lengths, like 3.5, 4, 4.5, 5 and 5.5.
I managed to find 4.5 and 5.5 in XDA on aliexpress, but that’s all.
Yep I think that those xda are the closest that exist. You might be able to find someone to do a cast resin custom one but they won’t be cheap
Cheapest solution would be to take a longer space bar and cut it to size, using sandpaper to smooth/ square the joints and plastic bonding glue or CA glue to get the ends with stems back on. Should be doable with some careful measuring. It won’t look perfect but it should work for proof of concept.
