Some people think that light-tactile development has slowed down in the past two years.

But HMX is putting out all sorts of classics. They’re mostly long-pole, though. That’s one of the big distinctions between now and 2020.

Switches tend to rely on long-pole for sound [“thock”], and long-springs for stability. There’s all sorts of stem designs and materials now, factory-lube applications. But 90% of them are united under a “long-pole, long-spring” banner.

You might notice this when comparing newer and older switches.
