That’s interesting. I thought it would be around 50/50 so I bought a few extra V2 stems just in case… If the batches are the same I shouldn’t need them at all I guess.
Not exactly looking forward to shucking 300 Kailh Blacks come Monday but them stems may come in handy if New Nixies turns out to be whimpy soundwise.

NK has new Star Wars sets in their NK Cherry line-up. I was quite pleased with the quality of Cherry Copper, so if you like these, I can recommend NK Cherry for sure.

Nice! That’s a really good pricepoint. I wish they could work to bring down the prices on other Star Wars sets (GMK, SA, DSA).
I like the BB-8 set. I do wish there was an option to not have flavor text on the mods though.
I’ve often noticed this about my taste for aesthetics. I prefer to have “authentic” looking stuff. So, I want my Star Wars keycap sets to look like something you would see in the Star Wars universe. You wouldn’t see “Bleep” or “Rebel” on a keycap in a Star Wars production. I get that it’s fun and playful, but maybe just not my style.

The WS Kraken caps are available today on Cannonkeys. But I’m curious. Do the caps sit that much higher, or is this just the keyboard? What board is that?

I hadn’t looked at the kitting, but I do agree with you on the legends. I’d prefer authentic to the universe or traditional (Ctrl / Alt / etc.) for most sets.

I just snagged this kit because I missed it when it was availible on WS site.
I think it only looks that high because of the switches and the angle of the shot. They have comparisons of their keycaps to GMK on their site.

I could be wrong about this, but I don’t think anything resembling a keyboard has been shown in Star Wars. Their control panels tend to have a lot of backlit buttons and knobs and things, but not keys in rows. I suppose you could make a macropad that looks convincingly in-universe, but I’m not sure a keyboard is possible.

Did either of you pick up the WS Kraken set? I’m curious to hear how quality compares to NK Cherry PBT sets.
I didn’t yet because I’m waiting to hear back about skirt length compared to GMK. I wanted to make sure they don’t show keycaps as bad or worse than ePBT.

Have you followed this sale going forward? I continues to be a bit strange. Most vendors are reducing the prices on things that people are already buying, Omni’s is clearly an excess inventory / unwanted product purge. I totally get that, and it’s common practice in retail, but you gotta disguise it a bit better, lol.
