Not as fancy as a Kara, but I built a fun through hole kit. The Mercutio.

Blue knob looks great with those caps.

Thank you. Yeah, I wanted something to match Nautilus a little better than the black one and I think I found it. I also think a gold knob would look great too.

UTD 356 Mini, this board is pretty nice to type on! There is some kind of cushion feel to it when typing and with the internal brass weight the sound is pretty nice and dense from typing.

Build with KS3 Gat Yellows - this board has a nice pop / thock to it!

I agree, that brown-on-brown look is nice on the Filco Kobo. We don’t see that many Kobos here, but this one looks good.

Finally! I got my Lumberjack finished and I’m REALLY happy with how it turned out.

  • Black Lumberjack PCB with USB-C.
  • C3 Kiwi switches.
  • Domikey SA Semiconductor keycaps.
  • A few artisans for some extra spice.

I’m having a new cover acrylic cut in smoked gray, because reasons.

Love that! It turned out great.
Where is the case from? Or did you make that? I’m looking forward to finally getting some time this winter to build my Lumberjack.

I got the case from KBDFans, the wood is “Tiger Wood” if I recall. It’s a really nice, but too tight. I sanded the top and bottom, but it wasn’t enough. So I won’t be getting the internals out without doing some damage to the case, that’s for sure.

It’s great to see the ortho love  These turned out so well, congrats.

Btw, what’s the staggered one in the back? Those colors look interesting.

I’m planing on making a Yasui, saw your image on google and I really like the bottom row look. How effective is it? Do the mounting holes allow for such config or was there some modding involved?

Hi! Unfortunately the layout pictured was only available on the V1 pcb which are no longer being produced. V2 is now also sold out on Rainkeebs.mx, and he doesn’t plan to restock unless he runs a V3 (which there are no plans to do as of now).

I think the closest you could get would be to send this file to a pcb manufacturer: GitHub - rlbaxter/electrolyte: Electrolyte is a custom mechanical keyboard with a 10x4 ortholinear grid.

That, again unfortunately, only supports an all 1u layout. Though if you are willing to take the time to learn, it wouldn’t be too difficult to alter the layout and add the 1.5u option. Good luck!

Thanks! The board in the back is a Brutal60. Keycaps are a combo; MT3 Serika alphas and MT3 Susuwatari mods.

Thanks for the reply, must say, the board is beautiful and I’m totally jealous. I got a V2 PCB coming from Mechboards, don’t know their stock amount but they have a few. Guess I’ll go with an off center 2u and two 1u which was my first idea. Cheers!

Who said Model Ms take up too much space?

IBM really goes after some serious speadsheeters because I’ve seen 00 on a numpad, but not 000!
