Is this a P3D Prime_E? Looks great!

I have one that I got in a navy color and when it’s stacked it just looks black but I love the board.

No this is a Primrose Acrylic case from Keyboard Treehouse. It has a really nice o-ring mount and super thin plate supported by cork for a great typing feel.

Small update to my keyboard, I bought some new blue and pink keycaps with Japanese sublegends to match my setup even more!

OK, this is mostly vintage stuff but maybe some of you will appreciate it.

Today is the third anniversary of me hearing of custom and mechanical keyboards for the first time so I pulled out all of my vintage stuff from the depth of a wardrobe in the attic I’m confined to with my obsession. The monoblock splits are the evolutionary stages of my custom daily drivers, the vintage ones are eye-candy, I handle them as artworks and don’t use them.

Tatung terminal, IBM 5155 (with the remnants of my first board made of cardboard), Kaypro 10, Honeywell terminal, Tatung terminal keyboard, Epson PX-4, Philips something, white Datacoop, Groma Kolibri Luxus, DEC LK201, Reuters, my daily drivers at work and at home, Gepard-8, Datacoop, LK201 clone, my earlier plates, Preh Commander, Epson HX-20, another Datacoop, and some noname AT/XT keyboards.

Outstanding pieces, love them all. Do you have any closeups of the Tatung and the Gepard?

I’m going to write about all of these like I did with the Reuters. However, I have a lot of photos about both the Tatung and a Datacoop which is pretty much the same as the Gepard except the connector and some electronics. Any ideas for a good platform to share a bunch of photos?

I have been fascinated by Ancient Egypt since I was about 8 years old, so when this group buy launched last January I had to get on board.

I am very pleased to say not only does it look amazing, but good, old-fashioned, top mount still has some legs. The typing feel and sound are extremely good - no tape or PE foam necessary. At least with a POM plate.

Nice board. Makes me want to spend some time away from 40% ortho. I think the LEDs are cleverly integrated.

As it’s very pronounced in this photo, I wonder – will humanity ever be able to get away from the inverted T for cursor keys?

It’s going to be hard, given the way our middle digit protrudes longer than the other digits, with the index and ring being around the same “ending” height. It’s intuitive to use the inverted T for cursor keys.

Some variants I can think of are the Vim-style single row cursors (HJKL) or the HHKB three-row cursors ([;'/)
