Post Your Keyboards!

Myself being a right hand mouse user, I’d prefer cursors on the left. As an experiment I just made my space bar a layer shift when held down and set F → up V → down S → left and D → right

Let’s find out how far I get, I even edited this reply with the new method

Wow that’s quite a unique layout, making use of all 5 digits on your left hand. I’ve heard of CapsLock + WASD for cursors (still an inverted T) but this is definitely something new. Hope it works out well for you

Built this yesterday, but I made an error during switch placement (enter key too left aka forced to use 1u enter). Fixed it today, and replaced one of the switches that I apparently completely demolished during the lubing and filming process, but didn’t notice until I put the keyboard together. Katana60 rev2, 205g0 lubed and Durock filmed OA switches, OA stabs, Tofu case, and some random DSA PBT keycap set. Maybe shifting the keymap around a bit if I feel like it’s not good, but it seems alright for now. I had a bottom left ctrl and middle row caps lock originally, but that just made me twist my hand every time I wanted to use the ctrl key.
EDIT: Just noticed that the o and p keycaps were on the wrong keys lol

I don’t know if it would be overkill, but GMK Pharaoh would be killer on this.

It’s a fun layout, but I would have a hard time switching the Y and H to the other hand.

After building the Aaru TKL yesterday, I decided it was time to go back to something smaller:

I’ve never typed with the normal 10 finger system, so no issue for me

It was an Aukey KM-G11, but I’ve rebuilt it hand-wired with 16awg magnet wire, diodes, a Teensy 2.0, Novelkeys x Kailh Speed Navy Thick Clicks, and dsa pbt keycaps from Flashquark.

Labor of love. Thick clicks are the only MX clickies I like!

I gotta ask… What is that board?

This is just an AMJ40 in the rare top mount case they used to sell for it.

Must be really rare cuz I can’t find anything about it.
Would love one of those with ortho :yum:

Nice little case. Looks like a tiny RAMA, minus the brass weight on the back.

Finished the Duckpad, but I need to take it apart again since the switches don’t want to seat in the thick acrylic plate.

Still, I’m really impressed with this little one. The firmware is especially well done with great screen integration so you can tell what’s happening.

Nice build. I have a Knob Goblin that needs thrown together sooner than later. It’s from the R2 buy, and I opted for an acrylic case as well.

NPs on brass with chubby Alpacas (65g). Sort of sounds like finger-tapping a hardwood desk.

I built this today for a friend who has never tried a mechanical keyboard, but loves ergonomic keyboards:

That’s one helluva lucky friend!
