Question about quantity of solder needed for a build

Hello everyone  :slightly_smiling_face:

I did a search and couldn’t find a topic where this was already addressed, so please forgive me if this has been answered somewhere else.

I have ordered a Kyria kit recently. It will be my first build, and my question is this:

How much solder would I need for this build? I was going to order a spool, and I don’t want to order more than I need if that can be helped. Would one of these 50 gram spools of 5mm 60/40 get me all the way through the project?

Yep, that should be enough!

Good advice here too - Gio's starter guide to tools, when you know your going off the deep end

I have mostly bought solder in these size containers, and they still last multiple boards - https://www.amazon.com/MG-Chemicals-Leaded-Solder-Pocket/dp/B072M9W9RJ/ref=sxts_sxwds-bia-wc-rsf-lq2a1_0?cv_ct_cx=solder&dchild=1&keywords=solder&pd_rd_i=B072M9W9RJ&pd_rd_r=81962e19-d4a5-4be5-9355-7e5c45dcce4a&pd_rd_w=ei7Zj&pd_rd_wg=ARVar&pf_rd_p=26b0e770-de1c-4342-bf97-c57fd874dbaf&pf_rd_r=ZN41S7RB8F2H903MHEYZ&psc=1&qid=1621372159&sr=1-1-49946e88-733b-44df-869b-c05699555c56

Good luck!

Do you think that one (or both) of those tubes would be enough to complete my build?

One should be plenty. :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes: remember you are using just enough to make contact with switch legs and PCB.
