Just seconding what Deadeye said, as someone who does lots of builds, and other work, I donât have the time or motivation to lube switches, but a dry switch is usually unacceptable. So I understand and agree with the statement âThey donât need to be lubedâ because its true, they donât need it, but they do benefit from it, especially if you prefer heavier lube.
I prefer a dry switch as long itâs not pingy (like a dry low quality spring), Iâm concered that on the long run the switches will catch dust and dirt.
On Iâd happily use dry Durock POMs, as theyâre super smooth, only issue with them is the super pingy spring.
Same goes to Ink Blacks and especially the Boba LTs [due to my experience with the Boba line although I havnât used them myself]
If the switch is smooth enough already, donut-dipping or otherwise just lubing the springs can do a lot for sound.
I agree generally, if its a good enough switch it doesnât need lube feel wise, but a little lube pre-applied is also a nice thing as well.

This âlayoutâ.

I was truly amazed to see this keyboard, weird layout but itâs well executed.
GMK Colors - reminds me of Glass Gem Corn.
In a market where we have multiple runs of Handarbeit, a PornHub set complete with clones, and a Minecraft Chicken(duck) keyset⌠this seems feasible enough to make me question if itâs a joke.
GMK Touch Grass is totally real though:
Happy April 1st, yâall
Looks like GMK Handarbeit and GMK Panels have some competition. I really like it though⌠I mean, I like grab bags ÂŻ_(ă)_/ÂŻ
But then again, it is:

This looks real â right?

Iâm in love with GMK Colors!
Ah yes, the First of April. The day on which you can IC any idea/product, regardless of how outlandish or improbable, and if the response is negative then you can play it off as a joke. If the response is positive then youâve just done some valuable market research! Canât wait to see how many of these A1st ideas turn into actual GBs.
(Not trying to shade anyone, and this doesnât just apply to the keyboard hobby)
âŚbut if the survey was created last year, 2021 is actually the appropriate date to display!
how dare you question base kit! it hit MOQ yesterday too.
Are those jumpers?
lol yes
Customizing a Red Dragon BES TKL for a client; just finished installing some foam and 1/4lb of iron in the bottom.
Iâm guessing thatâs how they manage to fit a keyboard matrix onto what looks to be a single sided PCB? With per key lighting none the less.
