I got a nice surprise today, I got a DHL text for a package from a proxy on Tuesday and figured it was my key65, but when it showed up today it turns out it was a type X from mekanisk.

Got some Outemu U4 Silent Tactile switches. Don’t have anything other than a 6 key switch tester to put them in but so far, they are pretty damn silent. I have a low-noise FC660C as my daily and they seem to be quite a bit quieter than that. Excited to get these in a full board and try them out.

Got a preonic rev 1. Mostly for the gorgeous vintage wood sides. Thinking I’ll make it into a midi controller first and keyboard second. Need some white and black caps for it to make piano keys.

Wood cases do provide more thockiness lol
I have been thinking on this for a long time. My absolute dream is to make a case with a finish like that on the PRS guitars. Definitely looking toward learning how to stain and finish wood to make grain like on quilted maple pop like that.
